Wow! What a week it's been. I've been quiet since Tuesday because there's so much reading to do. I hope you've been enjoying the 2011 Share a Story, Shape a Future blog literacy tour as much as I have!
There's so much material that it probably was impossible for anyone to get to it all this week, so I've brought you the direct links for each day, with summaries of their content (as detailed on the web site). - Day 3: Unwrapping Literacy 2.0 - With all of the talk of digital literacy, e-readers, etc. What does "literacy" look like in this new century?
- Day 4: Love of Reading v. Homework - Do they have to be at odds? We'll talk about ways to help readers at home and at school.
- Day 5: The Gift that Keeps on Giving - To wrap up the week we'll be remembering "that moment" when we realized we were a reader or writer and how to celebrate it with others. Lots(!) of interviews this day.
