Imagine if, for just one day, every single person on the planet shared the best version of herself with the world. I'm not just talking about people smiling and being nice to each other (although that alone would be pretty amazing). I'm talking about people turning their inner genius inside out for all the world to see.
Wouldn't it be incredible to see everyone doing what they were meant to do? There would be no competition or jealousy; we'd all just do what we love most, and share our unique gifts with those around us.
A day like that could only exist in a book, a movie, or a blog post.
Why is it, though, that so many of us never find a way to unlock that special gift we hold inside? It's almost as if we're holding something in our hearts that we need a key to open. Why do we have so much trouble finding that key? It can be like trying to find a hidden treasure without a map.
I think I know why.
The fire within each of us will only reveal itself if we notice the small clues it whispers to us over time. The whispers are like a myriad of colors which are disguised as white light. Only those who imagine them can bring them to the surface. Otherwise, they will continue to elude us.
Just imagine all those beautiful colors bouncing around in the sunlight, or even on a cloudy day. Can you see them?
What colors do you hold deep inside of yourself? How can you share them with the world?
What colors have you noticed in your child? Are they bright enough for you to see just yet? How can you nurture those colors, even if they come in shades you've never really seen before? In my next post, I will share a book which will help you do just that.
In the meantime, why not take a good, long look out the window? May the light fill you up with happiness and hope. How are the colors lining up today? Are they bouncing around, or streaming down? Maybe they're fading into one big, beautiful, sparkling ray of white light. Even if it's cloudy or drizzling, you never know when the colors might come to you in the form of a rainbow.
So, if everyone shared their very best selves, and their inner genius, with the world for just one day, might it look like a stunning explosion of color? And might there even be colors that you've never have seen before?
Now might be a good time to look in the mirror. What do you see?
