Life is a highway. Do you remember that song, by Tom Cochrane?
Whether it's the open road, the internet highway, or the journey of our lives, we all seem to be speeding through it these days. Sometimes, we get caught in traffic jams, and it seems we will never reach our destination.
How many of us just follow the signs, and how many of us choose to get off the highway when we're not sure we're heading in the right direction?
As Americans, life is all about the choices we make. But before we make those choices, don't we first have to stop and ask all the right questions?
With every dollar we spend, and every word we speak, we have an opportunity to create a better America. We just have to stop and think before we do so. Which companies and politicians can we trust? Chances are, it's not the ones who are spending the most on advertising.
The open road of apathy is no longer acceptable if we want to secure a brighter future.
Sometimes, freedom is not the open road. It's the exit.
Unless, of course, you're a butterfly...
Happy Independence Day!
