Just a quick note to tell you that I've had what appears to be a very special book on my reading list for a couple of months, but have not been able to get to it. It's on my summer reading list, but I just thought I would give you the heads up.
When I flip through Raising Bookworms: Getting Kids Reading for Pleasure and Empowerment, by Emma Walton Hamilton, what's appealing is that each brief chapter appears to present information in a clear and concise manner. The information seems to be organized into easy-to-read lists, with important information highlighted. You will also find many book suggestions.
So, even though I have only been able to take a brief look at this book, I feel comfortable suggesting you take a look at it. The author wrote it specifically for parents, so if you'd like some additional reading tips, strategies, and resources, why not give it a try?
I will write my reaction to it in the comments section once I finish reading it this summer (please feel free to do so as well)! In the meantime, we'll be getting into writing strategies and wordless books this week....
